Im optimistically confident for a home win today 2-1

that'll give the substandard sky pundits a bit of a quandry as they'll be waxing lyrical about sheffield Wednesday
and very likely be focusing some of their expert wisdom on the female referee Rachel Welch too

After a cracking result at Peterborough I was hoping for another draw today, but if Barry Bannan is back from injury I fear the worst.

Oxford United 0 - Sheffield Wednesday 1.

Sorry. 😞
Barry Bannon played in their 1 0 defeat at FGR

I have to go to a birthday party this afternoon so recording and hoping to avoid knowing the result before sitting down with a beer to belatedly cheering us on to a long awaited victory. 2-1

How much do the club get from sky TV rights today ,any idea ?

I think it's all part of a wider contract that pays us x amount a season regardless of whether we are shown or not. As much as many hate Sky and what they've done to the game, they do bring in some much needed revenue for a club that is already losing millions.

That's the equivalent of someone dodging millions in tax and then giving a few hundred to charity (a charity that's only needed because of the lack of tax revenue).

They're a big part of the financial issues in football (not to mention the cultural impact) - a tiny token hand-out doesn't make up for what Murdoch et al have done and continue to do.

F*ck Sky.

It’s official…following numerous complaints from ‘Boris’ in the SSU

Match day referees at the Kashstad will now be sponsored, in his absence, by…

Same as the umpires in the County Championship. Absolute masterstroke whoever came up with that marketing pitch.

Can’t go today as I am sat at home after ankle surgery a week ago, so I’m glad I will be able to watch on TV ( with radio Oxford commentary)
I have watched Sheffield Wednesday on TV recently against Forest Green and Barnsley and I am optimistic of getting a result today.
3-1 to the U’S
COYY
Those pain killers have affected your thinking 😂

I’ve been extremely critical about Murphy, but god I hope he turns in a performance today.

I don't think that side has the defensive/DM nous to keep a clean sheet, I'm not sure if it has the skill to score either.
Whatever, still sticking by 1-0 to us. COYY!

Is anyone recording the game on sky that can transfer it to a dvd or mp4. It’s just that I’d like a copy of our first win under Manning.
