If we’re offering Johnson a contract we presumably think he has a chance of making it , though not necessarily next season.
He’ll probably end up at Bromley or somewhere but if we’re serious about the championship I hope we try to get young players coming through, maybe we’ll need to invest in the academy to do it.

TBH I dont think players like that would regard going to ‘little Oxford’ as a step up. They’ll be confident that they’ll be replacing us in a years time. But I’m sure there are lots of promising guys who’d jump at the chance of joining us.

Just as you'd expect - though I hadn't realized Josh McE was out of contract. Glad we haven't ditched Josh Johnson, I hope he can get nearer the first team next year.
