Ex-Staff Karl Robinson

Blimey Dick, we actually agree on something! It has always confused me that the ones who hated him so much were the same ones who were constantly bringing up after he left.
Having said that, I certainly don't put @Thomas/Brock/Jones in this group though.

I’m baffled that ones that loved Robinson so much are the same ones who constantly come on here to defend him and try to ‘police’ others.

I don’t see anyone defending Robinson, I have also only seen one post saying to close this thread.
Questioning why you would want to continue to talk about someone that you hated so much isn’t ‘policing’ others. I just find it strange.

Shutting down the conversation is just another method of defence - why not just let people have this space to talk about it if they want and you just stay away if you’re so above it?

You should - his career has been utterly bizarre since he left us. A proper train wreck.

A year with Birmingham, then five spells at clubs where he lasted a maximum of 22 games (Brescia, SPAL, Brescia, Brescia and Torpedo Moscow. And there's no typos there)

Also apparently got sent off in his third game at Torpedo, and then went and climbed a fence to sit with the fans.

Vastly more entertaining than just doing a mediocre job at Salford.......
My biggest memories of the Clotet era are Van Kessel firing in a beauty v Portsmouth and thinking we'd discovered an absolute gem, and little Ricardinho at wing back!

It went so wrong but there was a brief spell I convinced myself we were gunna be in the Europa League in 5 seasons :ROFLMAO:

Is it ironic, don't you think?!

I’ll happily own the irony of the above and following post if it improves things.

Your desire to control other people is absolutely exhausting and rather disappointing because you do make some good posts.

You continually play the man not the ball and it really rather tarnishes the enjoyment of the forum for many people. Maybe you don’t care about that but it’s a shame if you don’t particularly when you choose to be such a prolific poster. You’re essentially rather toxic at this point but you don’t need to be.

I wish rather than stubbornly ploughing forward with that approach, having had the feedback for years, you’d actually see it as a growth moment. But hey ho . I wish you well.

Can we have a separate thread started for everyone who just wants to shout down the previous post?

They can, you know, write in capitals and that…

Did anyone manage to stomach listening to him as a presenter on TalkSPORT the other day? (last week I think it was)

I didn’t manage to get through much but there was a fairly interesting discussion of how his time at Salford has been and what he changed etc. Once you’ve heard his bullshit spin all before it’s interesting how you can see right through it, like listening to a manipulative ex chatting an unsuspecting new victim…

Whenever I hear his scouce whine, my hackles are immediately up. Why do Talksport have him on? Probably because he talks shite and tries to make people think he’s a brilliant and successful manager, when actually, he’s got one promotion to his name. He reminds me of a poor man’s Phil Brown.

Quite depressing really

Why do Talksport have him on?
He seems to be friends with both Jim White and Simon Jordan. White was bigging him up, praising the job he’s done at Salford and apparently Jordan sat down in a cafe with him for quite a while over a coffee and gave him advice before he took the job

I did watch it, he was possibly invited on to share the chatter as Simon nearly lost his voice the day before. I was not surprised that Oxfords recent success was not mentioned much but i was surprised it was the last 5 minutes. As a guest on the programme I have no problem with him, he's reasonably entertaining although a certain former footballer from mk always has to be mentioned. Let's not forget he did get us into the playoffs.

I need to be clear so I don't upset anyone, this is my opinion and not an instruction. Anyone else can share their own views should they wish.

Robinson had some good times at the club, and there were some incredible games under him, but he well and truly burnt his bridges in the final season with us and I couldn't care less about his views these days. If it wasn't for posts on here I don't think I'd have a clue what he was doing.

He still seems to trigger some, and my opinion and personal view that in no way suggests that others can't have a different view is that it may be best if some moved on!

Of course, I could equally move on and not bother posting on here, but debate and balance is value to hear all views and therefore I have shared mine, and mine alone.

Best hope he's not sat next you tomorrow then 😉

It's because he makes even Simon Jordan look good.
