Here we are all bemoaning the lack of any real promoting by the club and, hey presto, along comes this offer:

There you go! This will pack 'em in!
There'll be enough squeaky bums that day, without having to contend with brunch at the Kassam.

This team couldn't beat two free-range eggs adequately to make a suitably light and airy after-dinner soufflé.

That's what I keep shouting from the back of the East Stand, in any case.
Does it scan when you sing it, though?

That’s actually laughable £80 for a ticket, programme brunch, coffee and a mini-pie. Erm…..no.
Only £45 for a season ticket holder! Nice seat, up behind the directors box. It's a bargain!

Surely you would rip your way out of a paper bag?

Have you ever tried ripping a primark paper bag on the inside? Its easier to smash your way out. Regardless OUFC can't do either or even beat an egg.

Just a joke, frankly. But 1/10 is better than nothing which is where we were until that earth shattering announcement.

Has anyone on here actually gone for a meal in the restaurant before a game?
I've not been impressed by menu's I've seen in the past.

Only done hospitality once, a freebie away at MK last season and it was excellent, top class 3 course meal, drinks etc, then more at half time

and afterwards, I just fear ours would be a let down, especially at the price

Brunch? mmmm? I can't actually see a menu, a full english with fresh orange juice and nice coffee would be superb but I suspect it will be more like a bacon or sausage cob/bap/roll with luke warm coffee.

Just can’t see us winning. You have to score to win!

0-0 draw or 1-0 defeat I’m expecting but would love to be proven wrong.

As for the marketing, well, what can be said that hasn’t been already? It’s a complete farce and is indicative of the football club we have become over the last 9/12 months. A rudderless, directionless and rag tag organisation.

The fact that the ground will have 4,000 empty seats in it tomorrow, for arguably the biggest home game since Wycombe at home (2016) is beyond the pale. It’s absolutely disgusting how the club has been allowed to decay and something needs to give, and fast!

I fear for us if we are relegated. Really really fear for us and our future.

I am.not sure that anybody would underestimate Cheltenham, especially with Alfie May in such good form
Plenty of people mentioning May, but Keena is also one not to underestimate.

Mrs L and I have sampled the restaurant 3 times in total. We were the lucky winners of a free visit and were also invited by the club at the very outset to try things. Have to say, the food is nothing special. Typical mass catering stuff a la Brake Brothers. The club, to be fair, are stymied by Stadco/Firoka who set the prices. OUFC make very little out of hospitality. We were much happier when we could sit in the lounges with tea/coffee and biscuits at half time. Anyone paying £80.00 a head for the restaurant and match ticket has more money than sense in my book. £50.00 for a season ticket holder is still crazy. No drinks included (tea/coffee at half time) No car park space, you do get a team sheet and programme which is something. Chuck in a drink from the bar at Stadco's extortionate prices and it's an expensive day out.
Put it this way, we prefer to go over to Frankie & Bennys. (not the finest food but cheap and cheerful) Others mention the buffet at The Oxy as being good value. (the recent fantastic gesture towards @Sarge and family makes me think they deserve more custom)

I'm shitting it for tomorrow already. Already getting the "it's only a game" from my kids FFS.

We need to score and, based on recent form, that looks unlikely - but we've had chances. I really, really hope we can fluke a goal or two in the first half and hope that Eastie continues with his recent form for great saves when we come under pressure.

The running of the club this past 12 months reminds me of a workplace I use to work at, a bigger wealthier company took over and it turned in to a sour workplace where it felt you were just a number and all the time the top bosses were cutting corners and trying to cut costs.

Relegation is not my biggest fear this season, falling out of love with the club due to the ones running the show is. Owners need to sort this s**t out before crowds really do dwindle next season.
